The guest of the twelfth episode is Global Bob, a Jamaican dancehall dancer who keeps the genuine old school and middle school vibe in his dance and who is a true ambassador of the dancehall culture worldwide. He received numerous awards thanks to his talent, hard work and professionalism.
Even though it´s my culture, I am still a student of my culture, because dancehall is an evolving space and evolving culture. So you have to keep going.
We talked about his journey, he described what is the essence of dancehall and expressed his opinions and views regarding controversial dancehall topics where cultures are clashing. Bob introduced his project Dancehall Therapy and his plans for the future. He also described his experience with taking part in the process of creation of the song and the music video “Can´t Stop Dancing” by Elephant Man.
